“Trust your instincts, step into the unknown.”

Coming from a lineage of entrepreneurs, Bunty Monani knew he wanted to build something of his own.

In 2021, he tested side hustles, including Zofeur, which quickly gained traction, and connected with his passion for doing something meaningful.

“I made the leap, leaving my cushy corporate job to focus on Zofeur, and here we are today,” he says, stating Zofeur is turning chauffeur services from a luxury to a daily necessity, offering drivers for a few minutes or up to 10 months.

The name ‘Zofeur’ combines ‘Zoe,’ Greek for life, and ‘Chauffeur,’ representing both the customer’s lifestyle and the driver’s profession.

What started as a team of three drivers has grown into a network of over 1,500.

The transition was anything but smooth. Leaving financial stability meant embracing uncertainty. “Building credibility, especially with a model like ours where trust is the key factor, was a steep learning curve,” says Bunty.

The early days brought self-doubt, financial strain, and operational hurdles. To navigate, he relied on resilience and perspective.

“Entrepreneurship is solving problems. That’s what the whole journey is about,” he says.

A principle that continues to guide him: “When you’re in the eye of a tornado, think five years ahead. If you look back at this situation, how will it feel then?”

He still applies this mindset, knowing most problems shrink with long-term perspective.

His biggest lesson? Start before feeling ready. “Perfection isn’t necessary to start. Taking action is far more valuable.”

He also emphasizes the importance of mentorship: “I wish I had sought help from someone who had done it before. It could have saved me 12 to 18 months of trial and error.”

He believes personal branding is key to an entrepreneur’s journey. “I’m building my personal brand on authenticity. I focus on sharing raw, real experiences: the challenges, the breakthroughs, and everything in between. Transparency resonates with people and builds trust over time.”

The journey has been transformative. “There’s no better job that teaches you more than being an entrepreneur!”

Beyond work, he makes time for his passions, including fitness, padel, and spending time with family. “While the initial phase demanded every ounce of focus, I’ve since carved out time,” he says.

For those considering a leap, he advises: “Trust your instincts, step into the unknown, and remember the journey itself is as rewarding as the destination.”
