About Beyond Cubicles
📢 #BeyondCubicles is a weekly LinkedIn series created by Carolina D’Souza, born out of her own experience transitioning from a corporate career to independent consulting. Since its launch in June 2024, the series has evolved into a platform that showcases the inspiring journeys of several founders who have redefined the traditional 9-to-5.
Through authentic narratives, #BeyondCubicles highlights themes of courage, resilience, and purpose. The stories feature individuals from diverse industries—ranging from tech and education to wellness and adventure—who share their experiences of stepping away from conventional roles to pursue passion-driven careers.Â
✨ Note: All features in this series are unpaid and shared as a way to honor and amplify real stories of transformation.
Martin Wosnitza has a young son who has never ridden in a petrol car.Â
Â
That fact sits at the center of why he built ‘electrify me’ through Stealth Mode, an EV charging software company that connects chargers, car apps, and services. People can charge without thinking about which card, which app, or which account they need.
Â
He’d built expertise across roles at Audi and BMW, spanning public charging strategy and early infrastructure projects in Europe and the Middle East.
Â
But the structure started to feel limiting.
Â
“On paper I had a safe job, but I was more and more frustrated with how slow things moved and how much energy disappeared into politics,” he says.
As the industry shifted, he realized the software and the experience for fleets and drivers were still fragmented. It became harder to ignore.
Â
He launched with a mission to help fleets and drivers charge without thinking. The name carries two meanings: electrification begins with a personal decision, and clean mobility should feel normal, not complicated and distant.
Â
In the process, building his own venture sharpened his personal brand. Once “the charging and automotive person inside a big company,” he is now the founder directly linked to a specific problem and a mission.
Â
Leaving corporate brought two things he had not anticipated: doubt and loneliness. “What if this idea is not good enough?” he says.
Â
His wife steadied what the calendar could not. “She knows how passionate I am about this field and understood I would not be happy if I never tried. That emotional backing made it possible to even consider such a step,” he says.
Â
Co-founder Patrick, who spent years building e-mobility platforms in Europe, and the #Antler cohort in Dubai restored momentum. Then Wulf Schlachter, former CTO of IONITY and board member across several EV companies, joined as a mentor. Car manufacturers showed interest.
Â
His advice to anyone considering the leap: “There is no perfect timing. You need enough preparation to be responsible, and enough courage to still take the step.”
Â
Originally from Germany, he chose Dubai for its pace and potential. “Good ideas are valued here, but what really matters is strong execution and the ability to deliver,” he says.
