Case Study: Shaping the Personal Brand of Emirati Leadership

Problem

An Emirati chairman of a UAE-based group of companies operating in transportation, technology, retail, FMCG, fabrication, and services aimed to enhance visibility and credibility as a thought leader. Despite leading a successful conglomerate and upholding family values, the public profile lacked alignment with broader leadership ambitions. The key challenges included:

  • Limited digital presence and inconsistent messaging across platforms.
  • Minimal engagement with secondary stakeholders like industry peers and media.
  • Absence of a cohesive strategy to position as an innovative, people-focused leader.

Action

I designed and executed a comprehensive branding strategy to establish thought leadership and reinforce the chairman’s ‘Emirati pride’ in context of the family-run business that been operating in the UAE for over 70 years.

While implementation is ongoing, the strategy has already achieved:
