After nearly two decades as an in-house legal marketing expert for law firms, Christopher took a bold leap towards his entrepreneurial dream.
He had always felt a calling to venture out on his own and not be bound to a single firm.
So, in 2023, Chris founded CJA Consulting.
“My passion to provide my unique expertise to an underserved segment of lawyers and law firms motivated me to pivot to self-employment. I also wanted to work independently,” he says.
Like any new entrepreneur, Chris faced his share of significant challenges. “The procurement cycles for services were longer than I anticipated, complicating the balance between servicing my current clients and building a pipeline,” he says.
Then, unexpected financial downturns among his clients presented additional challenges.
Despite the setbacks, Chris remained patient and focused on the positives. He valued the freedom to manage his schedule and, most importantly, spend more time with his family.
His perseverance began to pay off.
Today, CJA Consulting provides legal marketing advisory services to small and medium-sized law firms across the UAE.
Chris now enjoys the dual satisfaction of seeing his clients and business succeed. “The thrill of working with clients, who often bring inspiring business ideas and challenges, remains a key motivator for me,” he says, adding, “The creative freedom in problem-solving and the autonomy in building my business from the ground up encourage me to persist in the face of difficulties.”
