"Beyond the Classroom, Preparing Students for the Future of Space"
For Arpit Dugar, a fascination with space sciences and robotics wasn’t just a hobby—it became the foundation for a mission to transform education.
With this vision, Lab of Future launched earlier this year, pioneering experiential learning and fulfilling his goal to “empower young minds through real-world tech”.
“I wanted students to experience hands-on, tech-driven learning,” he says. His venture bridges the gap between conventional schooling and real-world applications, introducing students to emerging technologies.
But the transition from a stable paycheck to entrepreneurship was no small leap. Beyond financial uncertainty, creating awareness about experiential learning—especially in areas like space sciences—posed its own challenges.
“Many people here just hadn’t seen the value of this kind of learning yet,” he says.
To overcome these hurdles, he focused on building strategic partnerships and leveraging speaking opportunities at major platforms, such as Dubai Expo 2020 and the Smart Education Summit.
These efforts not only helped differentiate offerings, like specialized programs for younger students and research-based projects, but also built trust within the community by connecting directly with parents, schools, and students.
“We had to show people how hands-on learning could truly transform education,” he says.
Adapting programs based on feedback became another cornerstone of his strategy, especially when designing tailored educational experiences for different age groups. “Feedback allowed us to refine and make our programs more impactful,” he says.
As the business gained traction, the impact became evident. “Hands-on learning has this incredible effect—you can actually see students’ curiosity come alive,” he says, adding that the approach earned the trust of parents and educators alike, helping overcome initial skepticism.
The shift to entrepreneurship has been incredibly fulfilling. Arpit notes how his professional growth in areas like financial planning, branding, and community engagement has complemented his personal growth.
“Knowing we’re preparing young minds for a future rich with opportunities in space sciences and technology is what keeps me going,” he says.
His path—from co-founding ed-tech ventures to writing novels on space travel—has been one of curiosity, resilience, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
Reflecting on his journey, he states passion alone isn’t enough. “You need a clear plan, adaptability, and a team dedicated to your mission.”
