About Beyond Cubicles

šŸ“¢ #BeyondCubicles is a weekly LinkedIn series created by Carolina D’Souza, born out of her own experience transitioning from a corporate career to independent consulting. Since its launch in June 2024, the series has evolved into a platform that showcases the inspiring journeys of several founders who have redefined the traditional 9-to-5.

Through authentic narratives, #BeyondCubicles highlights themes of courage, resilience, and purpose. The stories feature individuals from diverse industries—ranging from tech and education to wellness and adventure—who share their experiences of stepping away from conventional roles to pursue passion-driven careers.Ā

✨ Note: All features in this series are unpaid and shared as a way to honor and amplify real stories of transformation.

ā€œMake the change when it comes from within you.ā€

After 22 years in the corporate world, speaking internationally and earning industry awards, Neetu Choudhary had every reason to stay.

But something deeper stirred.

ā€œAs long as I am breathing, I want to explore new opportunities,ā€ she says.

That conviction led her to walk away from a high-paying job and launch her venture in 2022.

She named it Evolvitude, merging ā€˜evolving’ and ā€˜attitude’.

ā€œWas it scary? No. It was terrifying,ā€ she says. ā€œBut I knew I had to take the leap, because I would figure it out.ā€

The journey came with steep learning curves. ā€œWith an IT background and no industry contacts, business degree, or prior HR experience, I had to learn everything from the ground up.ā€

She also faced quiet resistance as a woman of color. ā€œI see these barriers slowly dissolving. I believe in being so big, bright, and bold that no one can ignore you.ā€

Determined, Neetu tapped into her Six Sigma and neuroscience background to develop frameworks like Smart Communication, Smart Sales Strategies, and Neuroscience of Leadership.

ā€œI’ve since worked with over 150 companies across 30 countries. The market is ready to explore business and leadership through a science-driven perspective,ā€ she says.

Entrepreneurship tested more than her business acumen. ā€œIt’s a tough reality, but it builds you into a new person, and transformation isn’t possible within the comfort of a job. I wish I had started earlier,ā€ she says.

She has been recognized as the UAE’s Top Professional Development Coach and named Best Public Speaker. Her recognition as a top-rated speaker at ISACA USA further affirmed the path she chose. She is also an author of four books: Monk Mom, Embrace the Uncomfortable, The Reflections (a poetry collection), and a children’s book titled Princess Pragya’s Pink Present.

As she continues to build her reputation and legacy, her approach to personal branding is rooted in results and authenticity. ā€œBe yourself, be kind, and build genuine connections. There’s no room for abstract concepts. Do what brings results. Let your work speak.ā€

To those considering a shift, she says: ā€œFirst, don’t decide to change your career just because someone else has. Make the change when it comes from within you. Second, build and nurture your network. And remember, failure is painful, but regret is excruciating. It’s far better to take risks and fail than to be filled with regret on your deathbed.ā€
